PCA Regional Collaboratives

“It shouldn’t hurt to be a child” is the mantra of the San Gorgonio Collaborative of Prevent Child Abuse Riverside County. This collaborative serves the Pass area of Riverside County and the communities of Banning, Beaumont, Cherry Valley, Cabazon, and Calimesa. We strive to prevent child abuse by:

•	training adults on “Positive Discipline” guidance techniques for children
•	educating community members on abuse prevention strategies
•	collaborating with local organizations working with at-risk families
•	increasing child development knowledge of all adults

We believe that families who have more knowledge and understanding about how to work with children will in turn strengthen their desire and build their confidence to choose a better way.
